Downtown Mansfield Incorporated
BENEFITS TO MEMBERS
Liaison Work: Downtown Mansfield, Inc. staff
serve as ex-officio members on boards for the CVB, The Mansfield/
Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and The Mansfield Alliance. Downtown
Mansfield, Inc. also works with the City
of Mansfield and Richland County to make sure the needs of Downtown
Mansfield are served.
Pony Express: Members have the
opportunity to have fliers hand delivered to the 450 downtown businesses.
Resource Library: Downtown Mansfield, Inc. maintains a resource
library of educational and preservation information that is available
for loan.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies: Downtown Mansfield,
Inc. working in conjunction with the Mayor & the Chamber of Commerce will
send out invitations for ribbon cutting ceremonies. Press releases are also
provided to local media outlets.
Downtown Mansfield Map and Brochure: A
comprehensive map
of the district and informational brochure are printed and published for the
public.
Marketing: Downtown Mansfield, Inc. works to promote
Downtown Mansfield as a single entity. Through the development of
a logo representing the entire area, and a consistent image campaign,
we advertise through local television, radio, billboard, and print
sources. Our goal is for the public to think of Downtown Mansfield
as a destination.

Incoporated maintains a website listing the history of Downtown
Mansfield, all downtown businesses, and events. Businesses wishing
to do their own web page are referred to our web designer. Pages are
designed for a reasonable fee. All domain name fees and monthly
charges are incurred by Downtown Mansfield, Inc.
PROGRAMS
Facade Improvement Program: Downtown Mansfield
Incorporated offers
matching grants to building and business owners for exterior renovation
work on downtown property. Funds are distributed on a first come

Available Space Information: Downtown Mansfield
Incorporated keeps a data base of information on any properties that are
for lease, sale or vacant. Pictures are included and both are listed

Low Interest Loan Pool: Loans are made to businesses
in Downtown Mansfield for start ups, expansions, and facade improvements
for owner-occupied buildings by the five downtown banks.
Downtown Database: Business and Building Inventories.
Seminars: Downtown Mansfield Incorporated offers educational
seminars through SCORE and the Small Business Development
Center to our businesses and property owners on business retention
and expansion.
Business Recruitment Program: Identification of
businesses needed to be recruited to the Downtown. Development of
recruitment package.
